Cudos Labs: development update! 🧠 (20/01/2022)

Here’s what we’ve been working on:

Last week:

Cudos Network

Public Testnet updates:

• We prepared our latest network upgrade documentation for Validators.
• We improved the upgrade process using some scripting.
• We carried out local tests with public testnet configuration.
• We’ve improved the Minting logic precision.
• We’ve implemented improvements on the Go modules.
• We removed the Token burning mechanism relating to deposit slashing, these funds now channel to a community-owned Treasury.
• We finalised the Gravity Bridge tests.

Ethereum to CUDOS migration

• We’ve redeployed the Address Mapping smart contract resolving a known issue.
• We’ve updated and released the Cudos wallet configuration.

Tooling

• Cudos tooling:
• We’ve implemented Improved error handling.
• We’ve finalised the integration test approach, and its implementation is in progress.
• We’ve deployed Big dipper v2, and it’s now operational.

Support

• We investigated and resolved the Hanging end-user reward transaction issue.

This week:

Cudos Network

• We’ll upgrade the Public Testnet to the latest release version.
• We’ll finalise Testnet Phase 4 documentation for Validators.
• We’ll set up the Osmosis + Hermes IBC relayer nodes.
• We’ll carry out further IBC testing.

Ethereum to CUDOS migration

• We’ll carry out local tests with predefined validators and accounts.
• We’ll work on Gravity Bridge liquidity funds management.

Tooling

• We’ll work on Multisig UI implementation.
• Cudos tooling:
• We’ll rebrand the tool.
• We’ll improve the means of installing additional plugins to the tool.
• We’ll improve the means to configure networks and accounts from cudos.config.
• Big dipper v2
• We’ll investigate the distribution module issues.
• We’ll prepare deployment scripts and setup.
